Sad news

We very sadly said goodbye last week to our wonderful William

who travelled over the rainbow bridge.

Life will never be quite the same, he was such a character and

enhanced our lives and those who met him.

Ach, wat jammer. Gecondoleerd met William. Hij was een lieve en leuke hond. Ik heb genoten van zijn avondturen.
Heel veel sterkte toegewenst met het verlies van je grote hondenvriend.

Oh Ann. I was so afraid of this. We loved William. Maybe not quite as much as you, but he brought many a smile and laugh to us through you. I hope your memories of him will bring you comfort in the coming days. I know he will be eagerly awaiting you at the Rainbow Bridge to go on the next great adventure. Hugs to you and Graham.

I have been knowing this day would come.
because you have gently been telling us.
but then why does it feel like I've been hit in the stomach?
here I am across the seas and you and William and Dad and Lil
and every one of your precious family have become friends.
memories of William sitting outside in town with his dad waiting for you...
the biggest most wonderful lap dog of them all! and the Walks! and meeting dangerous Cows sometimes! oh my. and Dad playing like a kid on a swing and William barking to join in! oh the memories pile on and I love every one of them.
my heart to yours dear Ann. XO

Renske…..Thank you so much for your thoughts and kind words.

Sue…..Thank you for this, I have always loved the idea of the rainbow bridge, and now, at this time, it is so important to us.

Tammy…..Thank you Tammy. Yes, I had been ‘saying’ in a way that William’s health was declining. We hoped to be wrong, of course, but there is one thing we cannot stop, Time. Thank you for your lovely words of comfort.

Chester and your Ghostwriter….Thank you so very much.

and THANKS TO YOU ALL AGAIN. I cannot say how much all your kindness has meant to us. …..Ann ❤️

Sorry I'm a bit late commenting but I've been away since very early in the month. Eileen has often mentioned William to me in conversation or email and she told me the sad news just recently - I'm so sorry to know that he has travelled over Rainbow Bridge. Even though you suspected it was coming it doesn't make the hurt any less - how you are feeling now is sadly the price we dog lovers must pay for loving our furry friends the way we do but he will always live on in your heart and your memories xx

Thank you so much Eunice. You are so right, the sadness is the price we pay for loving them. As the weeks go by, we are slowly getting used to not having William around. We still think we hear him padding about the house - on a trip to town yesterday, we both thought about getting home to him after our shopping trip, and then it hits us, 'oh he isn't home'! .... Slowly but surely we are getting there and thanks so much for thinking of us ❤️
