On the beach

It was so good to see William on the beach again.

Of late it hasn't been easy to access the beach, either the tides up or there were too many people/cars around...plus some days William obviously doesn't want to walk too far. .... note: we decide that.

When he looks a bit rickety on his old leggies, we make the decision that he should take things easy.  Given half a chance, I am sure he would want to hurtle around the sand, like he used to, but keeping him limited is for the best.

We're so pleased he had so many years of enjoying the running and jumping about in the sea and on the sand, how awful if he hadn't we say.

So this morning he had sand between his paws again, with a quick drink from the stream first...

Sand between your toes is still enjoyable even if you can't run and dig like you used to. ;)

Robin….yeah, we reckon William appreciated the walkies. He knows he can’t do the same things as he used to…must seem strange to him.

Eileen….These are special times. He staggers sometimes, but if we tried to get him to change direction, he will make it very obvious where he wants to walk.
