All that sea and sand to himself, he's a lucky lad. It'll soon be tourist season though, he's enjoying it all while he can :)

I noticed how wide your beach is, Ann. Is it always that wide, or do your tides fluctuate that much. We don't get such high and low tides, being on the Gulf of Mexico. Only when there is a storm approaching from the west. And even then, it's not a whole lot higher/lower than our "normal" tides.

Eileen....and it helps to get over there early. We can't wait for the grockles to arrive 😳 🤣

Sue...we see the highs and lows regularly. If the tide is really IN, the sea goes up close to the slope of the dunes (you'll spot that in the video), but with high tides, it means it goes OUT such a long way too. A long walk in the Summer for a swim.....not for me though, I can't swim 🤣 The sea level does obviously rise considerably, this particular beach, although facing the Atlantic Ocean, is just round the corner from one of the highest tides in the world (the Bristol Channel).

Robin, and they were very long today. We have a storm coming in and the sea has become very rough indeed.

Judy, I don't know how we cope with the crowds! 🤣

Very interesting, Ann! Thanks for making it clearer for me. I have heard of the Bristol Channel and her tides!
