I have for some time attempted to work/negotiate an App. called Procreate for digital drawing on my iPad. Finding myself going around in circles, I would put it to one side for a month - nah! monthS.
I always come back to 'real painting' - the feel of holding the paintbrush and adding the paint....but that nagging feeling that I should really try to master the App. was in the background. Then the other day, I picked up my iPad, went into the App and suddenly all clicked into place....Okay, I'm not proficient by any means (likely never will be) but that's more by choice. Basically this digital app. will be useful for quick sketches/ideas etc. rather than finished masterpieces! ...(that's my excuse and I'm sticking with it). So fear not, I will still be drawing with an actual pencil/pen and paints.
And finally, after all that waffle ....

Well done you, you're so clever with technology. In my humble opinion nowt beats original art with paper paints as you quite rightly say.
That's VERY cool, Ann! Another outlet to play in can't be a bad thing.
Are you doing ICAD this year? I've not done it for 4 years now. It got to be "too much" for me with all of the posts every day. I just couldn't keep up!
kudos to you for sticking with it. that's admirable.
but have to say... I still love the "real" thing better too. the Texture!
although it will be easier to capture an image quickly when you want to.
I suppose our whole world is becoming digital!
thanks for sharing the process. :D xo
Great job! :D (You should have seen my first few attempts! LOL )
Eileen.....Thanks, at least I have got the better of it, the not being able to get into it properly....now I can π
Sue....Like you say, it is too much to keep up with, so no ICAD for me this year π
Tammy....Thanks, I think that too...the real actual painting is best and always will be for me π
Robin...Thanks...you should have seen my first attempts though! lol π
