Thur morning Oct 29, we got hit with Tropical Storm Zeta in the north Georgia mountains. We had over 20 trees on our property come down, 4 of them on our power pole in our yard. Snapped the lines from the main pole and also coming into the house. It was just a few hours short of a full week without power that we finally got it back on. It was a comedy of errors that was not funny at all trying to get power restored.. We were in a hotel and I would come home every day and spend time with the fur kids. Power was restored at 5 PM on Wed Nov 4. We just now, at 12:00 PM on Fri 6th got our cable and TV back on! Not a week I want to ever go through again. But I must say, we were blessed. The house has no damage, nor either of our vehicles. We are fine, the cats are fine. So for that, we are grateful. I sure missed keeping up with William, Hamish and Barney!
I love your sketch of Sweet William, Ann. You captured him perfectly.
Hi Sue....Oh my! we hadn't heard about Storm Zeta over here, so sorry you had all that trouble. Sad that so many trees came down too and the clearing up you have had to do. As you say, at least your house, cars and animals are all fine, including yourselves. It's time for a cuppa (or something stronger), I'll have one here on your behalf 🍷...thinking of you and hope all is keeping well now.
