Dreaming of the beach

It has to be said that these days William can't always make it down to the beach -

his back legs struggle some days.

So we have adapted his routine with short walks -

he still 'Asks' to go onto the beach though, in his own special way of 'looking'

in that direction.

Oh William! I understand completely our bodies not always wanting to do what we want it to. I have many days when walking is a problem. But I continue to do the very best I can and I know you will do the same.

Aww that's made me feel so sorry for William, his spirit is willing but his body is letting him down :(

It's so sad when dogs start to get arthritis like that. Hope he can get some relief.

I am just not ready for William's declining years.
is there a supplement he could take? for his joints?
one blogger talks about a special oil that she gets at her vet.
there is only ONE William! and he's a prince in my book!
hug him for me Ann! XO

Sue....Sorry you have problems with walking some days, but you are so right, we have to continue the best we can :)

Eileen....I think he realises his limitations and we are now trying to help him. Shorter walks seem to be enjoyed :)

Robin....Absolutely, we're the same :)

Tammy......thanks Tammy, yes there is a supplement, and yes he is taking it. He's actually been on joint supplements for over a year now and they do seem to help him. We're also giving him extra tasty treats on his biscuits, like today with some tinned sardines. We figure the fish oil will help him. William enjoyed his hug from you, I told him who was sending it :)

I'm sending him a hug too - i love William's personality because you have expressed it so well in your writing and skektches. Hope the fish oil helps and he can get out and run again on the beach. He's got to show the new pup how to do things. Hamish can't do it all - pups take a lot of energy.

Sandy.... thanks so much. William is like an elderly retired gent these days, taking it easy. Although he is inclined to have odd moments of the juvenile delinquent about him 🤣

ahh love the latest sketches of him and i hope the meds work good and he can play on the beach again.

Sandy....we're only four days into the meds, but we are seeing slight improvements, so fingers crossed 🙂
